Individual support

A closer look.
At your situation.

Reactivity, fears, or difficulties at home. We start by talking about what is happening and arranging a session with you and your dog.

In your first session, we assess your dog and their context. From there, we define the priorities and training guidance for your situation.

Understand before taking action.

We learn about your dog, their motivation, environment, and your family’s goals. The professional assessment guides the work during training sessions.

Precision in training.
Clarity in everyday life.

Carlos Gomes

Trainer and founder of Motion Dogs

Over 14 years of practice in obedience, behavior, and dog sports. The demands of sport develop precision, the ability to read a dog, and the skill to adapt training.

We bring that experience to family life: realistic goals, close support, and an owner who learns to guide their dog.

Your dog learns.
You learn together.

The essentials.
Clearly explained.

01

How do I get started?

Fill out the form with your contact details and a little about your dog. Carlos will talk with you about your goals and arrange the next step: a course, Motion Dogs Class, or an individual session.

02

What happens in an individual session?

A session costs €55. In your first session, we get to know your dog and their context, carry out an assessment, and define training guidance. We then continue the work according to your goals and progress.

03

What is included in the courses?

Each course has six main Saturday lessons, lasting 75 to 90 minutes, with up to five dogs. Tuesday evening Motion Dogs Practice is included throughout the six weeks. Basic Obedience also includes a Motion Dogs Preparation Session of around 60 minutes, for handlers only, before practical lessons with dogs begin.

04

Do I have to attend Tuesday practice?

Attendance is optional. Tuesdays are for practice, questions, and adjustments to exercises, complementing the Saturday lesson. Essential new course material is generally introduced in the main lessons.

05

Can I join Advanced Obedience directly?

Yes, if you and your dog have equivalent training and demonstrate the required foundations in a prior assessment. Completing Basic Obedience does not mean automatic progression either: we check that the next level is appropriate.

06

How does Motion Dogs Class work?

It is an ongoing training class at €69/month, with up to four monthly sessions of 60 to 90 minutes. It is for past students or previously assessed dog-and-handler teams with a suitable level. Content and difficulty adapt to the dogs attending.

07

Where and when does training take place?

In the Montijo–Moita–Barreiro area. Main course lessons take place on Saturdays, with Motion Dogs Practice on Tuesday evenings. The location, class schedule, and availability are confirmed when we speak.

08

Does my dog need a course or individual support?

Tell us about your situation and goals. A group course can help build or strengthen obedience. For reactivity, fears, or difficulties at home, we discuss how to begin individual support.
